To achieve this, TVET assessment working groups based on the sector skills councils framework were put in place by the board in areas of manufacturing, construction, Agriculture, tourism and hospitality. Under this arrangement, the board has involved the experts and specialists from the industry in the assessment of real life projects.

Kawanguzi also informed the gathering that Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) has taken over examining and awarding of the accounting Diplomas in Uganda effective next May-June exams from the Institute of Certified public accountants. He called upon the institutions with capacity to deliver this program to apply to UBTEB.

Meanwhile, the principal decried staff gaps in the college. The College is supposed to have 69 staff members however it currently has only 36 staff on government payroll leaving the college with a staff deficit of 33 which she says has forced the college to use a lot of money to hire additional staff.
