Makerere Knocked Out of Varsity Football League as UCU Advances to Semi Finals

The Champions of the Pepsi University football league for the year 2012 of Makerere University have been shown their way out of the tournament for this year following a defeat away to the champions of 2019 and last year’s semi finalists of Uganda Christian University by 1:0

This was the return leg of the game following the triumph of 2:1 to Makerere University in the first leg at their home ground, and today’s victory of 1:0 to UCU has seen them advance to the next round on aggregates of 2:2 but on away goals rule

This has marked the end of the journey for the enzymes following their prolifically outstanding performance in the group stages and has also seen the bishop tucker road based university advance to semi finals for the second consecutive time
