Greenhill Schools has a long and illustrious history. Two sisters, the Late Janet Mdoe and the Late Gladys Wambuzi who had given their entire lives to teaching, dreamt of a school where they could influence the Ugandan education landscape in a way that had not been done before. The two sisters were joined by Mr. James Serufusa – and together they formed a formidable team. On the 4th of February 1994, the Greenhill Schools’ journey began with 35 students and one campus located along Mbogo Road, Kibuli, Uganda. Today, the Greenhill brand has grown to become a regional household name in the education sector with two campuses located in Kibuli and
Buwaate and over 5,581 students. The school nurtures learners from diverse backgrounds, who are able to achieve stellar examination results year after year.
Academically, our exceptional teaching staff encourage our pupils to look beyond the curriculum, to question and challenge, to develop a genuine love for scholarship and be fascinated by the process of discovery. The Kibuli campus constitutes of Secondary, Primary and Nursery sections. This campus also houses boarding facilities opened in 2007 on the adjacent 6 acre site of the original site.
Greenhill Academy Primary School Buwaate which opened its doors in February 2012 with 37 pupils is a sister school to Greenhill Academy, Kibuli. The school with both Nursery and Primary Sections is located along Kira – Kasangati road and has grown to have over 2478 pupils.
